Which Jewell would be a good selection to present for a Bride on engagement day?

Groom suppose to present a jewell 2 a bride on engagement day, need suggession in selecting a jewell.

The groom is supposed to present what he can afford on the engagement day. Make sure you STAY DEBT FREE!!!

A friend of mine presented his wife with a diamond as the center stone, and the ring had a channel setting with alternating diamonds and sapphire (her birth stone). It looked AWESOME!

Some stones are traditional, like diamonds. You need a stone that she will hopefully wear for a long time, so it needs to be hard. Hardness in stones is measured on the Mohs scale. A hardness of 9 or above is great. Hard stones suitable for long wear on the hand are diamonds, sapphires, and rubies. Sapphires and rubies are technically the same stone, but red sapphires are called rubies. Sapphires come in almost every color, like blue, green, white, orange, yellow. Moissanites are a stone that look like a diamond and are also suitable since they are actually harder than sapphires and rubies. They are actually made in a laboratory, and were designed after a stone found in a meteorite. All of these stones can be expensive, though, but most can be made in a lab. They are then called "lab" or "created." Sometimes ladies don't like lab created stones, either.

Jade is also a choice that is tough but it is not able to be faceted very much, so it will be rounded or carved. It is not traditional in the US, but in China it is very popular.

Stay away from stones that are soft or brittle, like emeralds, tanzanite, cubic zirconia, or peridot. The hand is an area that is often tapping against things, or knocking into things, so it needs the most durable stone.

Tip: Go to a reputable family jeweler (no mall store crap) and ask them for suggestions. They know it all and can help.

The type of jewel does not matter, nor does the size of the jewel. The true jewel is supposed to be the love within your heart. Give her a jewel that reflects who you are, who she is, and what you hope to become together.

If the gem reflects you, have the setting for the gem reflect her

(gem hard/strong you)(setting soft/ intricate lacy silver?her)

(gem delicate her)(setting simple and solid protective you)

Be guided by what your intended likes to wear for jewelry now.

a diamond!!

I would say present her with her birthstone, or a combination of both of your birthstones. That way there will be double meaning behind it :)

Personally I would prefer a blue topaz or blue sapphire!

Pearls are always good choice if you are wanting to go more traditional and classic. They can be worn for most any occasion and are one of those items that are great when you pass them down to your children.

Diamonds are customary, but I would present an Emerald.

gold with jade is good

I would like to receive an ruby. I think that they are beautiful.

diamonds, or her birthstone, or find out what she likes

A PLATINUM RING U KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ask specialy gals.. realy, in this matter i'm mile awy... :-)
