Would a bride be handcuffed during her wedding?

Would the cops handcuff a bride during her wedding? Or would they wait till at least the service is over?

Yes they would handcuff her and I doubt they'd care if they messed up her dress or not, their job is to get the person under control, not be worried about her dress. I was watching one of those True TV shows and they had a bride who got drunk and started getting nasty. They took her handcuffed to the police station in her wedding dress and all. She was out of control, spitting on the cops, trying to get out of the cuffs and she even took off her wedding ring and threw it. What a great way to start a marriage!

That would depend on what she was being arrested under suspicion of, I imagine, as well as the attitude of the police officer making the arrest, whether or not it seems likely that she's going to try to escape or resist arrest, and so on.

cops don't have sympathy. if she did something wrong enough to be arrested for, they're not going to wait until after the ceremony or be gentle with her dress.

i think it depends on what you are in jail for. i think if its a minor offense, they would take the cuffs off.
