How do you word a wedding invitation if the bride's mother and groom's mother are issueing the invitation? ?

Father of the groom has deceased and father of the bride is estranged and not at all invoved with the family.

Mrs. Anne Smith and

Mrs. Susan Jones

invite you to celebrate the marriage of their children,

Sarah Katherine and

Benjamin Thomas,

on... [date, time, location]

Or,

Sarah Smith and Benjamin Jones

along with their mothers

Mrs. Anne Smith and Mrs. Susan Jones

invite you to join with them in celebration of their marriage...

Hi. With everything wedding, the bride's name comes first, so I would also say that the mother of the bride's name should be first. If you want to use the middle names, that is up to you.

Kathryn Jane Douglas and Sandra Kimberly Johnson

request the pleasure of your company

at the marriage of their children

Samantha Jo

and

Bryan Thomas

etc., etc.

OR.....like this....

Kathryn Douglas

requests the pleasure of your company

at the marriage of her daughter

Samantha Jo

to

Bryan Thomas Johnson

son of Sandra Johnson

Just use traditional wording regardless - it's the show which families you both belong to.

Lisa Marie,

daughter of Fred and Martha Smith

and

Mark Lewis,

son of Anna Green and the late William Green,

request the honour of your presence...

Together with our mothers
