A wedding is the most memorable and important day in any girls life. It's a time for celebration, celebration of love, togetherness and warmth. It's also a day when every person you know would want to wish you all the luck and happiness in the world. You are the apple of everyone's eyes; all your wishes are being fulfilled. It's finally sinking into you that you are getting married.

Your shopping is done, your wedding trousseau is ready, your gown has been fitted and the invitations have been sent. You are on cloud nine. Your maid of honor has coordinated all the wedding arrangements. All that's left for you to do now is sit down and get on with writing the bride speech.

Most people have a fear of public speaking and being a bride is no exception to the rule. You might not have any ideas on how to go about preparing and delivering the bride speech. It might help to know that delivering a bride speech does not require any special course or customs. The most essential thing for you to remember is that it is a day to be thankful to god and to everyone who has made your day special. It's also the time to share your happiness and love with everyone including your groom.

Let's get started with that speech, as we mentioned earlier most people have a fear of public speaking, it is this fear which makes them slouch and look away while delivering any speech. Keep in mind that your speech has to be well received so when you start delivering the bride speech, stand straight, maintain eye contact and smile a lot. After all it's the happiest day of your life, so smile.

The next thing to remember is to set a time limit on your speech, you don't want to drone on and on. It will simply bore your audience. Keep your speech short and sweet, you can allot about five to seven minutes to it.

Start by welcoming everyone to your wedding, you have to be polite and smile. Next, start thanking all the people who have taken time out to attend your wedding. Mention all the special people by name, your in-laws will need to be mentioned too. Remember that some people have traveled from far away to attend the wedding thank them. Your maid of honor and the best man also need to be thanked.

Talk fondly about your groom. Talk of all the positive aspects in his personality. Let him know how much you love and respect him. Shower him with all the compliments you always wanted to. Let him know how blessed you feel to have married him.

You can talk about your journey together. How you both met, how you fell in love and when you decided to get married. If there is a special memory which brought you both together share it with everyone.

Before ending your speech introduce the maid of honor and let her carry on the speech. Remember to practice delivering your bride speech once before the wedding day.
