Stylish Accessories For the Mothers of the Bride and Groom

Image : http://www.flickr.com

When your son or daughter is getting married, it is a very exciting time, and you will undoubtedly want to look your best. Once you find your mother of the bride or groom outfit, the next step is to make it really special with accessories. These are some tips on the most stylish accessories to give your wedding ensemble a perfectly polished look.

For many mothers of the bride or groom, finding a great dress to wear to the wedding is an agonizing experience. Finding something to wear that is not dowdy, does not compete with the bride, and yet still looks chic can be a challenge for even the most dedicated of shoppers. The good news is that once you get through dress hunting, you get to move on to the fun part of planning a special outfit: the accessories! The right finishing details will go a long way towards making your mother of the bride or groom dress live up to its full potential, so don't overlook this important last step.

Wedding jewelry is one of the most important accessories. Unless you have an extensive jewelry collection, you will probably need to pick out something new that really coordinates with your dress. When you have raised your son or daughter from an infant to an adult about to become married, you deserve jewelry that is sophisticated enough for your position in life. In other words, the simple strand of white pearls that you wore as a bride in your own wedding just won't do when you are the mother of the bride; let your daughter borrow your demure pearls, and pick out something more striking for yourself.

If you love the lustre of pearls, a fabulous option is a strand of gorgeous black peacock pearls, which have a style and elegance that cannot be beat. Another fantastic look for mothers of the bride and groom is very large mother-of-pearl necklaces which are both classic and chic at the same time. Faceted beads or crystals are also a great look, especially for an evening wedding. Add some sparkle to your ensemble with dazzling Swarovski crystals, which are not only beautiful, but are also affordable enough to fit into the wedding budget with ease.

Every woman knows that the right shoes can make an outfit. When you are choosing your shoes to wear to your son or daughter's wedding, you will need to make sure that they are stylish, practical, and easy to dance in. If the wedding will be outdoors, be sure to choose a flat shoe or one with a wide heel base so that you do not get stuck in the grass or sand. Gone are the days when every person in the wedding party had their shoes dyed to match the exact color of their dress. To do so these days can end up looking frumpy and old-fashioned. Instead choose a neutral or a metallic that complements the color of your dress. Silver metallic strappy sandals look fabulous with almost any color or style of dress, and you will find many other chances to wear them again after the wedding.

One more accessory that you will need is a little bag. The handbag that you carry to a wedding should be just big enough to fit the essentials like lipstick and a hankie (to dab away all those tears of joy). A clutch is a very chic style of special occasion bag, although many women do find that an evening bag with a fancy shoulder strap is more practical. Whichever you prefer, your bag should look nice with your shoes, but does not need to match it exactly. With all of your accessories in place, you will be ready to shine on your son or daughter's wedding day!

An event of a lifetime

Most women dream of a magnificent wedding. Some choose it to be classy. Others opt for a simple ceremony. Whatever option any woman has is a personal choice for her dream wedding. Apart from choosing what type of ceremony there will be, most women are meticulous when it comes to choosing their bridal wedding accessories.

Some frequently used bridal wedding accessories are the following to help you decide plan for your big day:

Check out thesegreatwedding accessories essential for every bride on her wedding day.

Bridal Jewelry

Your set of jewelries on your wedding day can be diamond, silver, platinum, or gold. The jewelry you will get will depend on your choice, your wedding theme, and of course your budget if you intend to purchase a set.

If you wish to have your bridal jewelries custom-made you can also do so. By doing this you will be able to choose the specific texture, designs, and even stones.

Jewelries such as earrings, a necklace, pendants, finger rings, or anklets can be used on your wedding day. However do not over use jewelries. Keep in mind that simplicity and sophistication are two intense factors why jewelries are attractive to other people.

Tiara

Look like a princess with your bridal tiara. It is normally selected as a bridal accessory to give life to the style of hair. Nowadays there are classy yet affordable tiaras which come in various designs and shapes.

When choosing your tiara the following aspects should be taken into consideration:

- The shade of your gown

- The shape of your face

- Height matters if you opt to wear a tiara

- Tiara's durability

A Purse for the Bride

Every bride would want to bring a purse on her wedding day to put some make-up items such as lipstick, powder, or cologne. She may opt to put her hanky inside the purse.

There are wide selections of purse to choose from. Normally the bride will prefer a purse that will perfectly match her dress. Some of the most admired purses are strap, mini, clutch, handbag, envelop, and drawstring pouch.

Bridal Make-up

Your make-up should make you look fresh, glowing, and even more stunning. The location and time of the wedding ceremony plays a great role to determine the tone of your make-up. In addition other important factors to consider are the outline of your face, hairstyle, and the construction and color of your bridal dress.

Take note that if your wedding ceremony is to be held during the day, keep your make-up natural-looking. Night wedding ceremonies will require your make-up artist to put on some darker shade of make-up. Always go for a simple yet enduring make-up.

Veils

Folk stories consider the veil as a symbolic wedding accessory to cover the face of the bride to entice the groom of the exquisiteness of his bride until they are married and are allowed to see her.

Various collections of veils are available in most bridal shops. Commonly, bridal veils come in almost translucent piece of clothing perfectly matched with the wedding gown. You can opt to have a simple veil, an embroidered one or even one that is intricately designed.Others also choose the specific length of their veils. Some wants a short veil; others desire medium or long veils.

The bridal accessories you choose to use for your wedding ceremony do not only amaze people on how good you look on your big day. The choice of accessories reflects the kind of character you have.

So choose well. Everyday is not your wedding day.

Must Have Accessories For the Bride to Be on Her Hen Night

Image : http://www.flickr.com

A hen night for a bride is meant to be a memorable time for the rest of her married life. It is the time of celebrating one last night of freedom, and bachelorhood with friends. This is supposed to be a fun-filled party night that each bride celebrates in her own way.

Hen nights are traditionally organised by the friends of the bride. The friends of the bride manage the party arrangements like decoration, refreshments, and drinks. However, there are certain essential accessories that are declared must-have items for the bride on her hen night.

These are cosmetics, soothing shower gel, hen-night party costume, bubble bath, head wear/tiara, garter, veils, jewellery, sashes, broaches, et cetera. It is important for her to look good, and enjoy the party. She should have something to record her memories whether in the form of a camera, handy-cam, or a diary.

If the hen-night is taking place just the night before the big day, then she should have additional accessories for her wedding day as well. The ideal timing for holding the hen-night is a week ahead of the wedding, so that everyone can relax from the fun, and excitement of the party. This is highly recommended so that the after effects of booze are washed out.

The bride should adorn herself with exquisite jewellery, and accessories. Bracelets, earrings, rings, and broaches should ornament her. These do not have to be highly expensive, they should be nice, and trendy. Some very interesting ornaments made of candies are available for the bride to be worn on her hen-night. She can look really sexy and naughty on this particular night.

As for her dress, pink, and silver coloured costumes with veils, and all brides like appropriate headwear. She can rehearse for her wedding day by wearing veils, and long flowing dresses. All her friends wear sashes, badges, bows, and ribbons. The bride should also have these accessories, but they should be a bit different, more flashy, and glittery, so that the bride can stand out from the rest of the crowd.

Beautiful tiaras made of real, semi precious, or artificial stones are available in the hen night supply stores. The bride should wear one such tiara, and it is surely going to make her look like a princess! A head band made of real flowers can serve as an alternate to the tiara. Roses are going to complete the look of the bride on her hen night.

Most importantly, she should have all the beauty products, creams and lotions, which she uses to pamper herself. She needs all these things even more now, because even though it is party time; it can still be stressful for her. She should have her foot soaks, scrubs, moisturisers, and toners to keep her relaxed, and comfortable. Aromatic candles are also a must have accessory for the bride on her hen night.

You can buy stylish hen night sashes available in silk and in different colors now for your hen night.

Becoming a Blushing Bride

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Walking down the aisle is perhaps one of the most earnest dreams of every woman. From little girls who imagine marrying Prince Charming to the lovely ladies who wish to exchange vows with the love of their lives - there are just so many who long to be a blushing bride.

To many, the bride is the center of the wedding, the belle of the nuptial and the star of the romantic event. In fact, surveys show that the second most anticipated moment of the wedding is the moment the bride shows up in her beautiful gown. The only moment that beats it is the couple's kiss after they are declared man and wife. Just the same, every bride owns the spotlight on her wedding day and her wedding night. Her groom, guests and bridesmaids indulge her to wallow in everyone's attention and affection.

As a bride, the woman wants to make sure that the wedding she has is the one of her dreams. Many brides prefer traditional white gowns and simple gold bands in lovely churches. Others on the other hand want to get married beside the sea or in plush gardens. There are also others who want to tie the knot on top of towering skyscrapers or even underwater. No matter what a bride picks, one thing is certain. She will exhaust all possible options just to get what she wants. This is just the nature of every beautiful blushing bride.

Since being a bride is a phenomenal event in a woman's life, many females also face the pressure which comes with it. From petty problems like losing weight before the wedding and major dilemmas like getting cold feet - the negative possibilities are simply endless. Sometimes, brides even tend to worry about the more unimportant things. Obsessing over bridal gowns, reception themes and others are some major "bridezilla" syndromes which suck out the joy in all weddings. If this happens to you, or a bride that happens to be dear to you, just remind yourself, or them, that the wedding is not about the gown or the guests. It's about two people celebrating their undying love for each other - no more and no less.

However, every bride must face and overcome these troubles in order to become a happy woman. The important thing here is to make sure that a bride's impending marriage is done for reasons of true love at the right moment and time. Otherwise, it is always better to postpone being a blushing bride for a more suitable time or sometimes, a more suitable man. It may sound harsh at first, but a harsh realization is sometimes better than being a blinded bride forever.

These are the things every girl needs to know when it comes to making their bridal dreams come true. Remember, it takes a lifetime of love and life before finally getting started on that one minute wedding march of a lifetime.

Finding Exquisite Mother of the Bride Formalwear Just Got Easier

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Mother of the Bride formal wear can be the most difficult type of formalwear to find. Working in the formalwear business for over 20 years we have had the opportunity of purchasing and selling formal wear for all occasions. We have never had a problem finding beautiful dresses and gowns for proms, bridesmaids, brides, and for any other special occasion. But, when the opportunity came to offer Mother of the Bride dresses through our on-line store we found that it was not quite so easy to find garments that we would be proud to offer or be proud to wear. We really had to search for a line of dresses that would suit this occasion.

After much research we did find a line of formalwear offering exquisite Mother of the Bride dresses. We found Ursula of Switzerland. Ursula designs elegant Mother of the Bride dresses in long and short lengths and long formal pant suits for added comfort. Along with Mother of the Bride Dresses Ursula of Switzerland offers cocktail dresses and special occasion dresses in both solid color and printed chiffon.

In 1988 Ursula of Switzerland won the DEBI AWARD for distinguished excellence in the bridal industry - national recognition - specifically for special occasions. This accolade would be repeated in future years. Ursula's focus on Mother-of-the-Bride for the petite, missy and plus sized woman, has found her a winning niche in over 5000 better specialty stores.

Many, many hours of research went in to finding this wonderful line of formalwear in such a limited field. Hopefully, we can assist others in finding it with less effort and in a shorter time.

Bridal Accessories For the Bride

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Planning your wedding can be an extremely stressful, but an absolutely rewarding and gratifying experience. Now that you have the perfect man and a gloriously fashionable wedding dress, you can start worrying about all the bridal accessories you need to complete your overall look.

Although bridal magazines have a zillion items listed under "bridal accessories," keep in mind that you only need to purchase the essentials or the items that are relevant to you.

No two weddings are ever truly and completely alike, and brides, too, have differing needs and varying wedding priorities. Heading to a bridal boutique without knowing the exact items you need for your wedding may lead to an expensive and mostly unnecessary shopping-spree.

To avoid unnecessary purchases while you search for your bridal accessories, we're providing you with a list of some of the most common items and garments on almost every bride's wedding accessory list.

Bridal Accessory Must-Haves

Bridal Shoes: Right after you pick the perfect dress shape and design, you have to find the perfect footwear to complement your wedding attire. Bridal shoes are arguably the most important item on your list of bridal accessories, unless you plan on going barefoot for your beach wedding.

Your choice of shoes can make or break your entire outfit. When picking out your bridal shoes, make sure your shoes match your dress. We're not just talking about your shoe-color; we're also referring to fabric and heel height.

Bridal Lingerie: You may be wearing white on the outside, but isn't sexy red or black bridal lingerie under pristine and traditional clothing the perfect way to enhance excitement before your wedding night? Bridal lingerie come in many different designs, colors and styles. Pick bridal lingerie that provide enough wedding dress support, while still making you look and feel deliciously desirable.

Consider this the perfect wedding night surprise for your lucky husband.

Bridal Purse or Handbag: Bridal purses are different from those everyday handbags you carry to work. They contain a lot less makeup and absolutely no useless junk. Use your bridal purse or handbag to store your lipstick, an extra tampon and compact powder for emergencies and quick touch-ups.

If you've had your wedding dress custom made, you can ask your seamstress to create a bridal purse from your gown's extra fabric.

For more appeal, you can have your tiny bridal purse or handbag personalized with the date of your wedding, your name and your groom's name embroidered on the fabric.

Wedding Money Bags: Although your bridal purse can act as an efficient wedding money bag, you could purchase a separate bag to store all the money given to you during the Dollar Dance.

Money bags come in different styles and designs. Satin money bags are extremely popular with modern brides. If you're going for a wedding money bag with detailing, just make sure the bag complements your entire outfit.

Hair Ornaments or Headpiece: Whether you're wearing a veil or leaving your head bare, wedding hair ornaments and headpieces can be the perfect way to add some sparkle to your appearance and to emphasize a particularly ornate and intricate wedding hairstyle.

Go for hair pins, tiaras or even a lovely hat; just make sure your headpiece won't overpower your delicate features and your bridal attire.

Jewelry: There are some rules you need to follow when it comes to bridal or wedding jewelry. The first rule is to go for simple jewelry when wearing highly-embellished gowns or veils.

Next, wear sparkling and intricate jewelry with simple gowns to add glitter and sparkle to your outfit.

Lastly, make sure your jewelry choice matches your wedding band and the rest of your attire; this includes metal and jewelry color.

Petticoats: If you're wearing a sleek gown, then you certainly won't need a petticoat. The petticoat, also known as the underskirt, helps your gown retain its proper shape. The petticoat is a must if you're wearing an A-Line wedding dress or a ball gown.

There are some wedding dresses with built-in petticoats to help a dress retain its original shape. To avoid making a useless purchase, consult your seamstress or the bridal boutique owner over whether you'll need a petticoat for your gown or not.

Wedding Bouquet: Definitely one of the most important bridal accessories you'll need, the wedding bouquet refers to the flowers you carry while you walk down the aisle. Although you can always forgo having a bouquet of precious blooms, consider how your wedding bouquet can be the perfect way to introduce color to your otherwise drab and dull outfit.

Wedding Garter: Whether you're going for a traditional wedding or not, the wedding garter is the perfect way to add "something blue" to your outfit inconspicuously. Remember, the wedding garter is hidden underneath the voluminous fabric of your gown only to be revealed during the garter toss at the wedding reception.

Your wedding garter need not be completely blue, in fact, some blue accents or a blue ribbon will do.

Wedding Gloves: Wedding gloves are a great way to keep your fingers warm during winter weddings. Whether you're being traditional and demure or you're simply channeling old world glamor with your satin opera gloves, these gloves are a perfectly elegant addition to any formal wedding dress.

Wedding Handkerchiefs: Whether you're buying embroidered and fancy wedding handkerchiefs as souvenirs for the guests, or you're heading down the aisle carrying a lacy handkerchief to wipe away your tears of joy, you'll find numerous designs of intricate and lovely wedding handkerchiefs in bridal boutiques and online stores.

Wedding Tiara: Feel and look like the princess bride you truly are with a lovely wedding tiara sitting atop your head. Wedding tiaras come in many different colors and designs. Consider jewelry metal color and gown embellishments when picking out your wedding tiara.

Wedding Veil: A traditional wedding is not complete without the wedding veil. Wedding veils come in different designs and lengths. Some wedding veils have intricate and heavy embroidery that is perfect for simple and unadorned wedding gowns.

If you're wearing a lavish wedding gown, refrain from purchasing a heavily embellished wedding veil since a long veil will cover the entire back and train of your dress.

Choose your bridal accessories wisely and keep your budget in mind as you make your bridal accessory purchases. These accessories need not be designer or extremely costly; after all, you'll be using these accessories for this one special occasion.
