Looking Smart as Mother of The Bride

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Mothers of the bride and the groom can look smart and sheik at their daughter's wedding. The bride doesn't have to be the only one who looks radiant on her day. A lot of mothers of the bride are still relatively young and sexy when their daughters marry and can get away with wearing either bare shoulders or a bare back style of dress even if it is just a casual wedding.Like the bride's dress, it can be a cheap designer dress fit for the beach.

If you are slim, a straight, slim skirt will look stunning on you, or one that is not only slim but flared on the bottom like a mermaid is perfect for you. You will look equally beautiful in a full skirt whether gathered fully at the waist or flared from the waist falling to floor length.

You shorter ladies are better off staying with the slim skirt with one color going all the way to the hem rather than cutting the body in half with the use of a different color which would emphasize the shorter figure. The fabric should be soft and draping, rather than too stiff.

A full skirt, one flaring out from the waist will suit most mothers. If modesty is a must, choose a style that higher in the neckline, perhaps with the addition of a little sleeve. The total effect will still add up to a sexy formal dress. A lovely fabric for this look is taffeta or organza overlaying satin or polyester.

If the upper arm is is a little large, then a small amount of sleeve is a wise choice. Even just a cap sleeve that was shaped as part of the garment will be sufficient. Some of you may prefer a tad more cover over the upper arm. A short or full length sleeve is ideal.

Mothers, whether slim, short, tall or whatever, you will be looking smart on your daughter's wedding day when you choose the perfect gown for your figure type
