The Crimson Bride - Embarrassing Wedding Moments!

Every bride hopes that her wedding will go off without a hitch, and most of them more or less do. There are those moments, though, they are so embarrassing that you have to either laugh or cry. The result is the Crimson Bride!

Have you ever had one of those moments where you just wanted to crawl into a hole and die of embarrassment? Come on, you know that you have! Hopefully, though, that super embarrassing thing did not take place during your wedding. For some brides, though, it did.

Some of the most embarrassing wedding incidents are a result of strapless dress mishaps. This is the hardest type of gown to fit, and many brides wear them far too loose. They are either at the mercy of a mediocre seamstress or they are afraid that if the dress is really tight, they will end up with the dreaded armpit squish. Well I am here to tell you, ladies, that there is something a whole lot worse than the assembled guests seeing a little squish, and that is them seeing a whole lot of breast!

More than one happy bride has thrown her arms up over her head, either on the dance floor or to toss her bouquet, and had the whole kit and kaboodle come popping up out of the top of her gown! Just in case you are thinking that this is an urban legend, I have personally known people who have been guests at weddings where this occurred, and of course, there are countless photos available on the internet. Don't let this happen to you!

Other than flashing your guests, one of the other most embarrassing things that can happen at a wedding is for the bride to trip and fall on her way down the aisle. I knew a bride who caught her foot in a small hole during her outdoor wedding, and nearly fell flat on her face. Only the quick action of her father saved her from a full faceplant. The best way to avoid sharing this fate is to do a thorough inspection of the aisle before the guests arrive. And if you are using an aisle runner, beware of what obstacles may be lurking underneath.

Sometimes the behavior of the bride herself is the cause for embarrassment. When a previously sweet and lovely young woman morphs into a bridezilla, she is bound to say or do things that she would regret, if only she was in her right mind. For instance, remember to show a little gratitude towards your parents who are shelling out the big bucks to give you your dream wedding. There is nothing uglier than a bride whose parents have given her the wedding gown, bridal jewelry, venue, caterer, band, and florist that she has always wanted, only to hear nothing but complaints. Be sweet to your parents, brides.

There are other things that can happen that are momentarily embarrassing, but are really not so bad in the scheme of things. So if your new husband steps on your train, or the clasp breaks on your bridal jewelry and pearls fly everywhere, don't sweat it. Those are the types of little mishaps that happen to every bride, and no one but you will even notice.

Whatever happens on your wedding day, the best thing to do is take it all in stride. Hopefully, you will not fall on your face or have your top fall down, but if you do, try to laugh it off. After all, it is better to have your guests laughing with you than at you!
