We have to answer weird questions for my creative writing class, and this was one of them.
It usually happens when parents force children to marry. This is common specially in Asian countries. Another reason could be that you decide to marry someone and after that fall in love with another one.
A creative answer would be she has a terrible, overwhelming secret and she cannot bear for him to find out. The thought of it consumes her and eventually, she runs. Her secret? She hates puppies. The only remedy for this affliction is full puppy immersion into a room full of various breeds all ready to cuddle.
OR she jumped bail and the bounty hunter is close on her tail. A big event like a wedding would only attract attention to her.
- She realizes at the last moment that she wants to be with someone else that she is in love with, not just loves as a person.
- She is a superhero and has to save some victims from her arch nemesis - she loves her fiancee, but is torn between her super human life and her human life.
- She realizes that her fiancee doesn't love her
My brother kept his car running outside the church when i got married LOL He said we can go at anytime.
Some people get caught up in the whole wedding planning and when it comes right down to the moment they wonder why they are even there.
The forever thing scares people.
They woke up from the daydream and saw a nightmare in front of them. People have their reasons, all are different and that is a big commitment to make when your not sure.
She was feeling ill, and felt the need to vomit!

She could be affraid of commitment or she could be afraid of making a mistake. She might doubt her love for him and might fear he doesnt love her. Watch that wonderful julia roberts film 'Run Away Bride'...It has several ideas of why she runs away from her wedding!

people get scared before marriage. My fiance and I both have expressed that we're scared, and i think if she didn't share these feelings with her fiance, they could be overwhelming and cause her to really freak out and take off.
